How to count the days between dates
- Choose Days Between Dates or Add / Subtract Time.
- Enter your dates or the amount to add.
- Tick "include end day" if both the first and last day should count.
Days, weeks and business days
How many days until the deadline? How many working days is this project? What date is 90 days from today? This does both kinds of question.
In "Days Between Dates" mode you get the total days, the same thing in weeks, business days (Monday to Friday), weekend days and a breakdown in years, months and days. In "Add / Subtract" mode, pick a date, add or take away years, months, weeks and days, and see where you land.
Frequently asked questions
Do business days skip public holidays?
No. It counts Monday to Friday only. Holidays differ by country (and even by state), so take those off yourself.
Should I include the end day?
If you're counting a hotel stay or a deadline, usually not. If you're counting days of an event or a leave period where both the first and last days count, turn it on.
