How to crop an image
- Upload your image.
- Choose a ratio preset, or Free.
- Adjust the crop box, or type exact pixel values.
- Check the output preview and download.
Crop by ratio or by exact pixels
Cut an image down to just the part you want. Pick a ratio like 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 3:2 or 9:16, or choose Free if you want to draw any shape.
For exact work you can type the width, height and X/Y position in pixels instead of dragging. Useful when every image in a set has to be cropped exactly the same way.
Frequently asked questions
Which ratio for which platform?
1:1 for Instagram posts and profile pictures. 16:9 for YouTube thumbnails and most widescreen stuff. 9:16 for Stories, Reels and TikTok. 4:3 and 3:2 match most camera photos.
Does cropping reduce quality?
No. It just removes pixels around the edges, and what's left stays as sharp as before. The download is a PNG, so it isn't recompressed.
