How to watermark a photo
- Upload your photo.
- Type the watermark text. It starts as "© PIKDEN", so change that first.
- Pick Single Stamp (top left, center or bottom right) or Repeated Grid.
- Adjust opacity, font size, rotation and color until it looks right.
- Download the watermarked copy.
Why add a watermark
Posting your photos online means someone will eventually grab one without asking. A watermark won't stop a determined person, but it makes it obvious where the image came from.
Type your name or site, then choose a single stamp in a corner or the center, or a repeating pattern across the whole image. Opacity, size, angle and color are all adjustable.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my logo as the watermark?
Right now it's text only. Your name, a URL or a © line all work fine.
Single stamp or repeated?
A small corner stamp looks cleaner and is fine for portfolio work. A repeated grid is much harder to crop out, so use it for proofs you send to clients before they pay.
