How to convert SVG to PNG
- Upload an SVG file, or switch to Paste Markup and paste the code.
- Set the size with a scale preset or exact pixel width and height.
- Pick a background and a format (PNG, JPEG or WebP).
- Download, or copy it straight to your clipboard.
When you need a PNG instead of an SVG
SVGs are great until you need to upload one somewhere that only takes PNG or JPG. Social media, some CMSs, a lot of presentation software.
Upload the SVG file or paste the markup, choose a scale or exact size, and download. Because SVG is vector, you can export at 2x or 4x and it'll still be perfectly sharp. You can also choose the background: transparent, white, black, or a color of your own.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the background black or white when I wanted it transparent?
JPEG can't do transparency, so pick PNG or WebP and set the background to transparent (Alpha).
My SVG renders wrong or with the wrong font
SVGs that use web fonts or link to outside files often won't render those parts, because the browser draws the file on its own. If you can, convert the text to outlines in your design tool first.
What scale should I use?
2x is a good default for screens. Go higher if it's going to print or will be shown really large.
